About 8-String Standard tuning

An 8-string in standard adds a low F# below the 7-string's B — a full octave below a bass guitar's second string. Meshuggah built modern djent on this range, and Animals as Leaders turned it into a complete orchestra.

The F#1 fundamental is 46 Hz, at the edge of what most tuners (and speakers) handle. This tuner analyzes a long enough window to track it reliably; pluck with moderate attack and give the needle a moment to settle.
